This requirement is for the provision of boats and equipment for between 7.7.2012 and 9.9.2012. It is anticipated that the full contingent of craft will only be required during the critical period, which is estimated to be a 3-week period during the Olympic Games. In this regard supply of craft will be incremental both pre and post the critical period.
The Lots are detailed below:
— Lot 1: Launch - Floating Rest Centre - provision of up to approximately three craft to be used as floating rest centres with the ability to cater for a minimum of six members of staff at any one time. This will include the provision of toilet and refreshment making facilities and any associated maintenance requirements,
— Lot 2: RIBs suitable of comfortably maintaining a speed of 40 knots in a calm sea state and carry between four and six people including two crew members. The provision of up to approximately six Personal Water Craft suitable of carrying between 1-4 people,
— Lot 3: A number of crew members may be required for some of the craft. It is envisaged that the craft requiring crew will need four crew members in total, two crew members per shift with two shifts per day. All crew members are required to be both qualified to MCA helmsman standards to provide resilience and Advanced Powerboat Commercially Endorsed.
— Lot 4: Provision of associated training.
— Lot 5: Marine Equipment to include entanglement equipment and marine acoustic hailing devices.
