This planning concerns a new daycare centre building to be built on the site of the Uusikoivisto school, located at Palokunnanpuistokatu 6. The building will house all groups of children in early childhood education, including also the facilities and functions required for preschool education (approx. 288 children and approx. 47 tb). The scope of the project is approximately 3,000 floor-m2. There are 3,175 m2 of building rights left on the plot.

The functional and qualitative objectives of the project are defined in the project plan drawn up by Porin Rakennuttaja Oy attached to this invitation to tender. The starting point is a preliminary project plan and a facility program with a total scope of 2400 kem² / 10 groups / 240 children. However, since the completion of the project plan, the need for space has increased so that the final design solution will be implemented in 12 groups, with 288 children's places and a total area of approx. 2800–3000 kem².

The client has defined the scope and cost targets of the project, and their implementation is monitored during the planning period.

The design form of the project is part planning, and the preliminary form of implementation is a shared contract. The actual planning begins as soon as the tenders have been approved and the design contracts have been signed in June. The daycare centre building is planned to be ready for commissioning in the summer of 2025.
