Description:
Expansion and renovation of Klinikum Altmühlfranken 1st BA - Coordination of safety and health protection

General information about the construction project:

Already in 2008, the Klinikum Altmühlfranken in Weißenburg was expanded by a specialist medical center. Now the hospital is to be completely renovated and expanded in two construction phases - due to the age of construction and with deficits in space and functionality. Part of this application construction and equipment planning is the 1st construction phase BA1 and here the two

Sections BA1A and BA1E.

BA1 – 1st construction phase

In the first construction phase, the existing functional wing will be replaced by a new building (BA1A) and then renovated or converted for subsequent use (BA1B). In addition, the existing entrance hall will be extended and renewed (BA1E).

BA1A - New construction:

The new building in the south-east of the property is intended as a compact structure with an ideal-typical floor plan organization and direct connection to the main entrance. In the new building, all highly installed core functions of the hospital will be accommodated in a concentrated manner:

- BASEMENT: AEMP, laboratory, changing rooms, archive, linen exchange point, technology

- GROUND FLOOR: ZEA/ZNA with new access to patients and outpatient entrance, radiology, endoscopy,

Functional diagnostics, childbirth

- 1st floor: surgical department with same-day surgery, intensive care, on-call service

- 2nd floor: Technology

The floor plan provides for a centrally located public access axis in an east-west orientation, to which the individual functional areas and the vertical access with elevator core are attached. On the 1st floor, an inner courtyard will also be formed, which ensures the lighting of the corresponding departments. In this tailor-made new building, optimal processes of hospital operation are achieved and the primary functional deficits of the existing building are eliminated.

Due to the self-sufficient construction of the new functional wing BA1A, ongoing operations in the existing building can be continued unimpaired.

BA1E - New construction/renovation entrance hall:

At the same time, the new building and its connection to the existing building will create a new entrance situation and thus a new forward-looking urban development appearance of the hospital. For this purpose, the existing entrance hall will be extended/straightened on the entrance level and thus a clear clear access will be formed. The entrance hall at the central location of the hospital will be completely renovated and general functions will be accommodated here:

- Ground floor: service facilities with reception/post office, pastoral and social service area

- OGs: Access with common areas

During this renovation, a temporary main entrance can be laid from the north at the transition to the new building.

BA1B - Refurbishment of existing buildings, outlook (not part of this BAP):

After the relocation of the hospital's core functions to the new BA1A building, the original functional wing will be rebuilt accordingly and the following functions will be located here:

- basement: supply/disposal, warehousing, domestic and transport service, maintenance/repair, waste disposal,

Pharmaceuticals, Technology

- Ground floor: physical therapy, medical service, on-call service, food supply with visitor/staff cafeteria with outdoor area

- 1st floor: medical service, administration

- 2nd floor: prayer room, technology

As part of the core renovation, an inner courtyard on the 1st floor will be formed as a major structural intervention for the purpose of illuminating the adjacent functions. The entire renovation can be carried out in one go, only the existing food supply in the 1.UG will initially be retained and will be rebuilt and converted accordingly after completion of the new food supply on the ground floor.

BA2 - 2nd construction phase, outlook (not part of this BAP)

In the second construction phase, the care at the Klinikum Altmühlfranken Weißenburg will then be modernized.

There are two ways to do this:

- Renovation and expansion of existing nursing homes

- New buildings maintenance next to the newly built functional wing BA1A, which in its positioning and the

Floor plan layout allows an ideal connection to new care bodies.
