The SRH Zentralklinikum Suhl currently operates nine operating rooms in the central operating theatre. Adjacent on the same level are a left heart catheter measuring station and an angiography device. Left heart catheter and angiography device must be replaced promptly. In the central operating room, the eye surgeries are currently also being carried out,

which, however, is ineffective due to long lock times. The number of eye surgeries is

currently so high that it is planned to build two separate eye operating theatres.

According to the current projection of the SRH, about 20% of these could still be used by gyn surgeries. Furthermore, it is planned to set up a second left heart catheter measuring station. In order to achieve these goals, it is planned to use the available expansion area "old OR" for use as a cardiology department with two
