Invitation to tender for winter maintenance of municipal roads and squares in Gratangen municipality in accordance with specifications given in annexes 1-6.

When required, the contract also includes sand spreading for locations subject to snow clearing. Parking areas/ setback areas for vehicles subject to snow clearing will also require sand spreading.

The roads included in the contract shall include all maintenance works related to winter maintenance, such as snow clearing of turnarounds, melting of ice from sub drains, ditch clearing (excavation of ice) in ditches and stream courses in order to lead the water from roads when trenches and ditches have been frozen over, placing and collecting road mark sticks, inspection and notification of major unforeseen works which must be executed in order to carry out an efficient, problem-free and economical winter maintenance.

The contractor shall also manage guard telephone service for requests from the general public and general requests in relation to the winter maintenance.
