The drainage operation of the city of Würzburg operates the municipal sewage treatment plant on the site in Mainaustraße 54, 97082 Würzburg.
Since there are no storage facilities on the premises of the sewage treatment plant, the dewatered sewage sludge produced there, waste code No. 19 08 05, sludge from the treatment of municipal wastewater, Ordinance on the Determination of waste requiring monitoring must be regularly and reliably transported from there and thermally recycled. A sewage sludge production of approx. 6,000-7,000 t per year is assumed (a total of approx. 24,000-28,000 t sewage sludge). The annual amount of sewage sludge produced is subject to operational and procedural fluctuations and is therefore only a guideline. Excess or short quantities cannot be ruled out. However, a maximum of 100 t of dewatered sewage sludge per day must be accepted by the contractor and thermally recycled.

The vehicles used for removal must be able to be registered with a green sticker, as it is to be expected at any time during the contract period that environmental zones will be established in the urban area of the city of Würzburg.
