The existing nursery school buildings in the area do not satisfy current requirements, and are ready for replacement. Tromsø kommune shall re-establish these and operate them. The nursery school shall be developed to be a future oriented educational and service offer that safeguards the requirements that the municipality is subject to in order to provide safe, predictable services of good quality.

An engineering design group shall be engaged for the engineering design of the first 2 nursery schools. Gross area per nursery school will be approx. 350 m2.

There shall be two identical buildings with on-site customisation drawn up in one plan. There shall be 2 main bases with associated area for children and an area for the personnel. The outdoor area shall have parking facilities, waste management, bicycle parking, and an outdoor area for children to play.

The first building shall be completed by Autumn 2019, and the next shall be completed by Autumn 2020.

Vikran nursery school shall be demolished and a new nursery school shall be erected on the same site. Cadastral No. 50 title No. 57.

Trondjord Nursery School is being considered for temporary operation. A decision will be made as to whether the nursery school will replace the current building, or whether a it is constructed in a new location. Cadastral No. 78 title No. 2. We will most likely construct a new nursery school cadastral No. 78 title No. 2, and merge sites so that parts of the current outside areas can be used.

A preliminary project will be prepared, which must be part of the tender documentation for the turnkey contract.

Preparation of the tender documentation for a turnkey contract will also be included in the assignment.

Subject to political approval, the builder shall have an option to transfer the engineering design group to the turnkey contractor when the turnkey contractor is engaged.
