Ringerike kommune c/o Development hereby invites tenderers to an open tender competition for the purchase of construction management services for the execution of a new water treatment plant for Ringerike waterworks at Kilemoen.

Ringerike kommune's main water supply is Ringerike waterworks at Kilemoen. The waterworks currently supplies 24 000 residents in Hønefoss and the surrounding area. The waterworks currently consists of 6 ground water wells and an elevated basin. With the exception of airing, there is currently no treatment of the water.

Ringerike municipality shall establish a new water treatment plant in connection to the waterworks. The water treatment plant shall have the capacity to deliver to at least 60 000 people. The reason for the expansion is the production wells have rising manganese values, and several of the wells are over the limit. There is therefore a need to remove the manganese from the water before it is distributed in the network. In addition there is a need to increase the capacity of the elevated basin in order to ensure reliable delivery. The basin capacity shall be expanded from 2 000 m3 to 5 000 m3.
