Office and seminar rooms, rooms for IT services such as an information center, digital experience lab, etc. and server rooms are to be accommodated in the sustainable and energetically exemplary new building for the university IT.
The server rooms consist of the HPC cluster with availability class 3 and the general data center area with availability class 2. A total of approx. 84 data cabinets with a total output of 620 kW are provided in 2 expansion stages.
The room program covers approx. 3,025 m
The technical cost share is approximately EUR 8.8 million.
A sustainability certification of the construction measure with the assessment system sustainable building (BNB) is planned. A certificate in BNB silver is sought. Furthermore, the data center is to be certified according to the requirements of the "Blue Angel".
Construction is scheduled to take place from February 2024 to July 2026.
