P-1004645 replaces Aircraft Braking System
When using a runway by fighter aircraft, the
at the end of the runway an aircraft braking system (VAI) installed. In the event of an emergency during a take-off or landing, a VAI uses the cable to bring the
aircraft, if equipped with catch hook, safely to a stop. Because the start and
runway can be used by fighter aircraft from both sides, has
so two VAIs every job. The current VAIs need to be replaced from the main runway at Volkel Air Base.
28831-11 reconstructie overruns
Simultaneously with the replacement of the VAI, reconstruction will also take place at the overruns 06L and 24R.
