The city of Bocholt intends to award planning services for the redesign of the station square. The focus of the planning is on the traffic and design optimisation of the station square while retaining the current functions. The station is to be converted into a modern mobility point with the associated functions (P+R, B+R, modern car and bicycle parking facilities, K+R zone, etc.) and traffic flows are to be optimised. This also includes special consideration of city and regional bus transport with the necessary and easily accessible stopping areas on the station forecourt. At the same time, the redesigned station area is to become an attractive entrance area to the city centre, which enables clear orientation and routing and at the same time offers a quality of stay.

For the planning area, the city of Bocholt is awarding the service phases 1-3, 5-9 in accordance with § 47 HOAI Verkehrsanlagen in a step-by-step contract for the redesign of the station forecourt to a traffic planning office. Initially, service phases 1-3 of the HOAI will be awarded. In addition, the on-site construction supervision will be awarded as a special service of service phase 8.

The construction project is to be assigned to fee zone III on the basis of the determining evaluation points.
