The Naumburg wastewater association intends to completely connect the Goldschau location to the central wastewater network. A preliminary planning is available. Goldschau has 257 inhabitants (as of 2018). The length of the canal is 2,257 m.

The local drainage is to take place in a separate system in the future. With regard to waste water, it is planned to create a waste water sewer for all properties in the local area. In the future, the wastewater from the location is to be disposed of via a connection collector that will lead from the location to Osterfeld. In Osterfeld this is to be tied to an existing connection collector, which leads to the Naumburg sewage treatment plant. In order to realize this project, a pumping station in the Goldschau area is necessary.
