The canton of Solothurn, represented by the building construction department, is organizing a project competition for the construction of a new central prison on the “Im Schachen” area in the municipality of Flumenthal, SO. At the Flumenthal location, in addition to the existing penal institution, a complete system with 150 places and the associated infrastructure is to be planned and implemented. There are 3 detention regimes in individual and group detention. In addition, the possibility of expanding by 20 places must be proven.
