Due to rising energy prices and increased inflation, more Tilburg residents are facing financial problems. We would like to do more to support our residents while reducing energy poverty through a white goods exchange scheme. This white goods scheme means that energy-guzzling white goods such as a washing machine or a refrigerator can be replaced by a new energy-efficient one. Our residents save on their energy bills. This white goods exchange scheme is part of numerous measures we are taking to combat energy poverty. In addition, this scheme contributes to the energy transition. A second objective of this white goods exchange scheme is to stimulate local SMEs. That is why we are going through a European tender process with the aim of contracting one party who will realize the coordination and implementation of this scheme.
