Turnkey contract K-6501, system for waste suction and down-chutes for linen, includes engineering design services for, delivery, installation, testing, commissioning, and documentation of a complete and functional system for waste suction and down-chutes for linen.
A complete and fully automatic system is to be established for waste suction. This involves automatic transport of waste from the hatches to the waste containers. Shafts for down-chutes for linen are also to be established together with the shafts for waste. This is a passive system with the linen being received at the bottom of the shafts.
The horizontal channels to the waste centre in building M2 will be laid in a culvert under U2.
The system will consist of the following main components:
- Throw-in hatches approx. 500x700 mm for linen and waste.
- Shaft channels, approx. Ø500 for linen and waste.
- Storage valves at the bottom of the down-chutes for waste.
- Transport air valves for air supply to the horizontal transport channels.
- Horizontal transport channels for waste, approx. Ø500. From the down-chute shaft to the waste centre.
- Inspection hatches / openings in transport channels (assessed as needed)
- Shuttle valves between compressors
- Compressors and accompanying containers
- Transport fan(s) in a separate technical room
- Throw-off system from the transport fan
- Sound deadening/filtration
- Control system with interface with the control plant
- Internal cabling
