Description:
BAB 81, VKE E033, maintenance and temporary side release, construction pollutant and substance investigations of the A-structures

BAB 81, AS Ludwigsburg Nord - AS Ludwigsburg Süd, VKE E033

Preservation and temporary page release

Investigations of building pollutants and substances of A-buildings (BW 7020 503, 7020 505, 7020 506, 7120 649 and 7120 650)

The A81 motorway runs in a north-south direction from Würzburg to near the Swiss border with Gottmadingen. In this section, it connects the two major centres of Stuttgart and Heilbronn. Approximately in the middle of this section lies the large district town of Ludwigsburg. It is connected to the A81 motorway by the two junctions AS Ludwigsburg-Nord and AS Ludwigsburg-Süd. The Ludwigsburg-Nord junction connects the A81 with the B27. At the Ludwigsburg-Süd junction, the L 1140 is linked to the A81. The AS Ludwigsburg-Süd is located in the municipal areas of the city of Ludwigsburg and the municipality of Möglingen. Due to the high traffic figures of up to 127,000 vehicles/24h (analysis 2010) between the Ludwigsburg-Nord and Ludwigsburg-Süd junctions in the southbound direction, the hard shoulder has already been opened to traffic as an additional interlocking lane. This traffic routing will be replaced by the present planned opening of the hard shoulder.

The present design plan includes the structural measures for the installation of the temporary hard shoulder clearance (TSF) on the A81 motorway between the Ludwigsburg-Süd junction and the Ludwigsburg-Nord junction in the district of Ludwigsburg. The TSF is to be set up as part of the route control system (SBA) set up between the Leonberg junction and the Mundelsheim junction. The SBA went into operation on 24.03.2014. At peak times, the TSF will primarily stabilize and harmonize the traffic volume, which is forecast to increase to around 141,000 vehicles/24 hours by 2025.

In the course of the planned TSF, all A-structures between the Ludwigsburg Nord and Ludwigsburg Süd junctions are to be examined and recalculated to the target load level LM1 according to the DIN technical report in accordance with the recalculation guideline. Currently, a variant study is being carried out, including a fundamental decision regarding the complete replacement building or superstructure renewal including upgrading of the substructures.

In addition, the possibility of traffic management (4+0) during construction by the structural engineer is proven for the structures.

For the recalculation of the structures and the proof of the traffic routing during construction, structural investigations and tests are required to determine the existing concrete compressive strength as well as substance investigations of the building materials used for a possible dismantling of the structures.

The necessary structural investigations, including the evaluation of the results, are the subject of this service description.
