The existing buildings in Øivinds vei 2 (approximately 6 000 m2 gross area) are currently not in use. The buildings shall be demolished and replaced by a new Omsorg + (sheltered accommodation) with approximately 88 flats including accompanying service functions such as e.g. hair dresser, physiotherapist, pedicurist, exercising room, etc. (approximately 8 500 m2 gross area).

The new building shall comply with the requirements for passive house, the Norwegian State Housing Bank's requirements for sheltered accommodation flats as well as Oslo municipality's requirements for Omsorg + (Care +), through the joint requirement specifications for Oslo municipality.

A decision has been made to carry out the project in accordance with an interaction/partnering model with early involvement of the central participants in the project development phase, where one seeks to achieve greater possibilities for value creation, optimalisation and expenditure cuts.
