Replacement new studio building - Hochschule für Bildende Künste (HBK) Braunschweig
Planning service Specialist Planning - Technical Equipment (TA MA) according to § 53ff HOAI 2021, here KG 410, 420, 430 & 480
Work phase (LPH) 2 to 8, stepwise commissioning, i.e. initially LS 1 corresponds to LPH 2 & 3, (4)
The state of Lower Saxony intends to build a new studio building for HBK.
A central goal of HBK's structural development is to create a needs-based, spatial and organisational context at two locations that are only a few minutes' walk away from each other. The new building on the immediately adjacent property to the campus will condense the spatial gap between the two locations and strengthen the idea of the campus university.
The aim is to design the new building as a robust and intelligently designed functional building using sustainable building materials and energy-efficient construction. The focus is on balancing ecological, economic, social and aesthetic concerns. The new building is intended to serve as a role model for the public sector. As a public institution, it must meet the extensive requirements of accessibility and the appreciation of diversity.
The replacement building will house four class studios for the Fine Arts course and the associated special workplaces. The studios must be suitable for work and teaching as well as for exhibition situations. They represent large, spatially as variably designable, hall-like rooms with sufficient ceiling height and special lighting and ventilation as well as good room acoustics, which should be adapted to the requirements of the various specialist classes.
The upper cost limit for the construction project is EUR 13,060,000 gross. The mentioned costs include the cost groups 200 to 600 according to DIN 276-1:2008-12 .
Investment groups of the tender/contract:
Machine & Supply Engineering (TA MA)
1.1.4 / KG 410 Sanitary technology
The sewage network must be protected from hardening materials (gypsum, concrete), paint mixtures, solvents and other environmentally hazardous substances.
The connection to the rainwater sewer of the city of Braunschweig is only possible to a limited extent, as this is already at its capacity limit. In addition, the partially existing clay floors have only a low degree of permeability. Therefore, a temporary storage of rainwater is necessary.
The design of the entire sanitary technology should be gender-neutral.
The hot water generation of the building is to be decentralised electrically.
Estimated costs approx. 680,000.00 EUR gross.
1.1.2 / KG 420 Heat supply systems
HBK is connected to the local district heating network. The entire university complex is supplied by a resulting local heating network. The studio building is also to be connected to the existing local heating network.
The installation of the heat distribution networks and the space heating surfaces should be as inconspicuous as possible in the studios so that they do not distract from the artistic activity. Estimated costs approx. 680,000.00 EUR gross.
1.1.3 / KG 430 Ventilation technology
The special workstations for welding, moulding, grinding and painting require special technical equipment and must be planned taking into account the installation of the technical systems, in particular ventilation systems. Estimated costs approx. 680,000.00 EUR gross.
1.1.8 / KG 480 Building automation
The building technology systems to be planned are to be controlled, regulated and monitored via new automation devices to be built. Estimated costs approx. 406,850.00 EUR gross.
