The Danish Parliament offers a framework agreement on the provision of temporary agency services for cleaning.
The Danish Parliament has its own corps of cleaners – the so-called house ushers – who are responsible for the daily cleaning of the Folketing's common areas, offices, restaurants and other facilities. Approximately 40,000 m2 extends over the area of the Danish Parliament.
The Danish Parliament's house ushers must be upgraded to cleaning technicians and must undergo an 11-week training course. During the period when the permanent house ushers are on training, they must be replaced by temporary workers from an external cleaning company. The temporary agency cover is done to ensure maximum flexibility and quality.
Each temporary agency cover must be provided by a permanent temporary agency worker.
It is expected that the first temporary agency cover will start in September 2023, and that thereafter there will be approx. 4-5 temporary agency cover every quarter. The temporary agency cover is expected to be completed in autumn 2025 with a total of 34 temporary agency cover of 11 weeks' duration. Frame evening includes the possibility of extension.
The working hours for temporary agency cover for an 11-week period will be 30.5 hours or 37 hours per week, respectively, and are on weekdays between 5 am and 1 pm.
The tasks of temporary agency cover consist of cleaning administration rooms in the Danish Parliament (offices, meeting rooms, corridors, kitchenettes, toilets, etc.) in accordance with DS INSTA 800 - see Appendix 1a in the tender documents for description of quality profiles. Each temporary agency cover is part of a team with permanent house ushers, where specific tasks and locations are organized by the team's daily manager.
