Hafen Duisburg-Rheinhausen GmbH (AG) has built the Logport IV site on the former premises of a paper mill in Duisburg-Walsum, which is located directly on the banks of the Rhine.
The connection between the Logport VI area and Walsum station forms an approximately 3-kilometre-long, currently closed connecting track, which was part of the plant's private siding. The subject of this award procedure is the renewal of this feeder track, including the renovation or partial renewal of 3 bridge structures (EÜ).
The track and bridge construction work is to be awarded in 2 separate lots.
Lot 1 includes the renovation or partial renewal of the bridge structures (EÜ) at a fixed flat rate. Lot 2 covers the renewal of the feed track. This service shall be invoiced by means of a local measurement to be carried out by the Contractor on a unit price basis.
Renovation / partial renewal of the railway overpasses in the area of track Logport VI in Duisburg WalsumThe object of Lot 1 is the renovation or renewal of 3 bridge structures.
In detail are the following. Construction work on the superstructures planned:
- Rehabilitation of the Königstraße railway overpass;
- Renewal of the two railway overpasses Römerstraße and Dr. Wilhelm-Roelen-Straße.
The scope of services includes, among other things, technical processing, coordination with DB, road traffic authority and other parties involved, construction site equipment /clearance, surveying, explosive ordnance sounding, traffic safety, demolition / disposal of the previous year. Superstructures, earthworks, including clearing etc., bored pile foundations, micropile foundations, manufacture of support benches, chamber walls, production and assembly of superstructures EÜ Römerstraße and EÜ Dr.-Wilhelm-Roelen-Str., abutment renovation.

Renewal of the feed track to the Logport VI terminal in Duisburg WalsumLot 2 includes the renewal of the feed track to the Logport VI area, which begins at Walsum station behind the junction 19W4, and ends a few meters west of the BÜ Brückenstraße at the level of the track gate of the former paper mill with the transition to Logport VI. From the beginning, the feed track runs for about 1.3 kilometres parallel to DB line 2271 or .dem continuous main track of the station in question. This track also includes two hand-operated switches, a siding connected on both sides and three non-technically secured level crossings (Schul-, Römer- and Brückenstraße),
The renewal of the feeder track must take place in three spatial sections. Further details can be found in the procurement documents. In addition, outside of this tender, preparatory or partly parallel work, including the rehabilitation of an earthworks (dam) and the backfilling of a former bunker, must be taken into account.
