The successful contractor will be expected to be SEQOHS compliant or to be in the process of applying for accreditation by 1.9.2013 and to provide the full range of occupational health services. Services will include work health screening and assessments for new employees and ongoing health surveillance, management referrals for occupational health advice, occupational immunisations, flu vaccinations, identifying and managing healthcare staff infected with a blood borne virus, management after accidental occupational exposure to blood and body fluids/ infection, workplace health and wellbeing and administration of the eye care voucher scheme.

Hertfordshire Partnership NHS Foundation Trust employs approximately 3 000 staff based in a range of locations currently across Hertfordshire, Essex and Norfolk, including Adult and Older People's Mental Health Services, Children and Adolescent Mental Health Services, Learning Disability Services, Forensic Services and Corporate Services. Services are provided within Inpatient Units, Low and Medium Secure Inpatient Units, Community and General Support Offices. The new OHS provider would be expected to provide services in appropriate settings across currently all 3 counties; geographic locations, staff numbers and services may change over the period of the contract.

In order to provide the best possible service to our staff we are seeking an Occupational Health provider who understands the nature of our client group and the environment within which our staff work. Experience of working with other Mental Health and Learning Disability providers in a proactive way would be beneficial.

There is potentially the opportunity to offer additional services as part of this contract including; a Fast Track Physiotherapy Service to support the rehabilitation of staff suffering back or musculo skeletal complaints; CBT services to promote mental wellbeing in staff and an absence reporting service for staff to telephone as the first point of contact.
