The building complex is being prepared for the Federal Ministry of Labour and Social Affairs (BMAS), whose 1st office is located in the immediate vicinity at Wilhelmstraße 49. The property consists of several individual buildings completed between 1897 and 1916, which have grown together into a complex through conversions and extensions. Creation of an innovative, modern office concept with flexible workplace design (modularization, multiple uses, etc.).
Upgrading of the building in accordance with GEG/EEFB.
The street facades are made of natural stone, and in the inner courtyard a façade with ceramic slips is to be integrated into an overall concept of the courtyard façade to be renovated
A self-contained, barrier-free access for the building complex, e.g. by lowered main entrance in Taubenstraße/ cross-connections between the existing buildings by new 2- to 3-storey connectors in the courtyard.
18: Dismantling of the floors above the 2nd floor and partial new building on the 3rd-6th floor.
Uniform level for the entire farm, designed by a separate competition
On the ground floor of Mohrenstraße, in the listed stone hall, a publicly accessible cafeteria is arranged.
Construction of a new emergency power system, a server room and systems for the generation of renewable energy (PV, solar thermal energy)
The following measures have already been carried out in advance:
