Investitionsbank Schleswig-Holstein and Investitionsbank Berlin are looking for a service provider who, in the course of an analysis, will highlight 6 different scenarios for operating core banking systems in a cooperation of 9 promotional banks with regard to the following topics:
- multi-client operation vs. Single operation,
- Alternative core banking systems on the market vs. existing SAP infrastructure,
- Change from ERP to S4Hana.
Carrying out a TCO analysis with regard to operating and migration costs but in particular also synergy effects by saving of central service units (eg risk management, governance, supervisory law, organization, test expenditures in specialist areas, ...)
The analysis aims to reduce the number of potential systems in a two-step process.
Phase 1 - Reduction of the core scenario (from 6 do 2):
End of August 2019 - October 2019
Reduction from 6 to 2 potential scenarios
Breakpoint in the project: Presentation of the results in the Steering Committee of the Development Bank Cooperation (consisting mainly of IT managers) and subsequently also the Cooperation Committee of the Development Bank Cooperation (consisting of executives of the cooperation houses). The aim is to obtain a "Go" for implementation of Phase 2
Phase 2 (optional) - Detailed analysis of the remaining 2 core scenarios (from 2 to 1):
Beginning of January 2020 - beginning of May 2020
Detailed consideration of the remaining 2 procedures and decision recommendation for 1 variant to follow the houses further.
Endpoint in the project: Presentation of the results in the Steering Committee of the Development Bank Cooperation (consisting mainly of IT managers) and subsequently also the Cooperation Committee of the Development Bank Cooperation (consisting of executives of the cooperation houses).
At the end of the second phase of the preliminary study, a decision-making basis (including a roadmap) for the changeover to a new, ideally multi-client, central or alternatively locally deployable core banking scenario with a uniform data model should be available.
The term client-capable scenario in this context, both the actual core banking application understood as well as directly related systems such. B. Business Warehouse, letter writing, reporting and TR functionality.
In the process, a concretization of the preferred solution variant up to the cost analysis (TCO) - and alternatively locally applicable systems with a consistent implementation planning should take place.
