In order to ensure traffic safety on the outskirts of Grabow and Parchim and to ensure the stability and durability of the dams, mowing work and regular weeding of the canal side ditches are necessary. The dams permanently polluted with water must be kept in a condition required for inspection. For this purpose, the control areas of the dams shall be mowed to such an extent and intensity that proper observation remains possible. In this way, leakage can be detected at an early stage and countermeasures can be taken. In order to ensure the ease of navigation, the operating areas at the locks and weirs must be kept in a traffic-safe condition by regular green area maintenance measures.

The Elbe Waterways and Shipping Authority, hereinafter referred to as the Client (AG), shall entrust the contractor (contractor) with mowing and weeding work from km 4.8 to km 56.0 of the Müritz-Elde Waterway (MEW) and from km 0.0 to 19.5 on the Störwasserstraße (StW). The work is to be carried out by the Contractor on the dam and side ditch areas of the MEW and StW in the years 2023 to 2025.

The services include the sifting and clearing of rubbish, mowing dams, ditches and other areas including removal and recycling.

The services include the maintenance of the company premises at 10 locks in the area of the outskirts of Grabow. The locks are located on the Müritz - Elde - Waterway (MEW). These are the locks Dömitz, Neu Kaliß, Findenwirunshier, Malliß, Eldena, Güritz, Grabow including the area of the outskirts and building yard in Grabow, Hechtsfort, Neustadt-Glewe and Lewitz.

Within one year of care, a total of 7 pieces of pruning, 3 pieces of paving area weeding and 1 piece of leaf removal are to be carried out in the period from April to October. The entertainment period concerns the years 2023 / 24 / 25.

All mowing areas belong to the entertainment area of the outskirts of Parchim and are located on the Müritz - Elde - Wasserstraße (hereinafter referred to as MEW).

The subject of the tender is the free mowing of green areas with suitable equipment, as well as the cleaning of canal side ditches and paved areas. Some of the surfaces to be processed have slopes that are steeper than 1:1.

If there are larger accumulations of garbage on the areas to be mowed, the AG must be informed. The disposal of the garbage is then at the expense of the AG.

The division for the Parchim area is divided into 2 lots, which are divided as follows.

The services in Lot 3 include the sifting and clearing of rubbish, mowing with suitable equipment on dams, ditches, flushing fields and other areas (see items 2.1.2 and 2.1.3), as well as in the areas of structures, including the removal and recycling of the mowed material. Within the specified execution period, up to four cutting passes must be carried out for these areas in the maintenance year, depending on the weather and growth.

The water-side embankments are mowed. For each cutting pass, the crop is picked up on the waterside embankments, driven off and recycled. Two cutting passes are carried out per year.

It can be assumed that especially in autumn the leaves from the trees lie on the areas to be mowed. Any difficulties arising from this are to be included in the offer price.

Furthermore, flush field areas with the associated enclosure dams and embankments must be mowed. The crop remains. One cutting pass per calendar year shall be performed.

Mowing work on the compensation area for replacement plantings in the holding between the lock Lübz and Neuburg in the area of the "Alte Elde" is also part of this order. On a meadow-like area of 15,786 m² there are about 80 young trees. The area must be mowed and cleared three times per calendar year free of damage. Necessary hand mowing in the area of the trees is to be included in the offer price.

The natural canal side ditches are weeded. The Krautgut is collected, removed and recycled. In the ditches there may be mud, sand, partially overgrown soil, reeds, leaves, branches, stones and any kind of garbage etc. Any difficulties arising from this must be included in the offer price. Two weeding passes shall be carried out.

In Lot 4, the services on the mowing areas (see item 2.1.9), the outskirts of Parchim include the sifting and clearing of rubbish, the mowing of the locks and weirs with suitable equipment. The crop must be collected, removed and recycled. Ten cuts per year and mowing area shall be carried out. In the months of June, July and August, a 14-day mowing interval must be observed. Mowed monthly in the remaining months.

It is to be expected that leaves from the trees lie on the areas to be mowed. Any difficulties arising from this must be included in the offer price.

The weeding of the concrete paving surfaces and concrete edge strips is also part of the service to be provided. The areas are to be weeded, the resulting material is to be swept together, collected, removed and recycled. Weeding of concrete paving surfaces and concrete kerbstones shall be carried out three times per calendar year. Removal and recovery shall be included in the offer price.

The foliage clearance is remunerated separately and must be carried out once a year.

The leaves lying on the ground on the lock and weir area must be swept up, picked up, removed and recycled.

Furthermore, professional tree and hedge pruning must be carried out on the lock grounds during the maintenance year. The maintenance of the green areas with the bushes and shrubs is also part of the order. Here is to pay attention to the concerns of nature conservation, with regard to animal welfare (breeding seasons).
