Description:
Aarhus ReWater and the outer harbor - Geotechnical feasibility studies

The Port of Aarhus and Aarhus Vand A / S jointly offer 2 agreements comprising geotechnical preliminary studies for Aarhus ReWater (a new wastewater treatment plant) and the planned expansion of the Port of Aarhus (Østhavnen / Oderhavnen). The two agreements are awarded to the same bidder.

The purpose of the geotechnical feasibility studies in this tender is to map the soil conditions in the potentially new land areas, the "Main Proposal" and "Alternative 2", for the future location of Aarhus ReWater, and for the planned expansion of the Port of Aarhus (Oderhavnen). The geotechnical feasibility studies consist mainly of geotechnical wells and CPT experiments on water, environmental studies and geotechnical laboratory experiments.

The Port of Aarhus and Aarhus Water choose to implement this tender jointly, in order to ensure consistency and synergy between the two neighboring projects.

As part of the expansion of the Marselisborg Wastewater Treatment Plant in Aarhus, a new and larger, energy-efficient resource facility, called "Aarhus ReWater", will be established for the treatment of wastewater.

In connection with the realization of Aarhus ReWater, the soil conditions must be mapped for 2 possible future locations of the resource facility, located on current water areas at Tangkrogen and Marselisborg Marina in Aarhus, and examined for a new outlet pipeline, whose location is being clarified. The 2 possible future placements are referred to as "Main Proposal" and "Alternative 2".

The "main proposal" places the resource plant in connection with an extension of Marselisborg Marina, and "Alternative 2" places the resource plant outside the stone throwing on the East Mill, possibly in connection with a planned expansion of the East Harbor (Oderhavnen).

The planned expansion of the East Harbor (Oderhavnen) consists of an extension of the existing two-stage port (totaling about 100 ha), which will be constructed to the east as an extension of the container port and the upcoming ferry terminal.

In connection with the port expansion and the establishment of the outer harbor, it is also desirable to deepen the harbor basin and establish a new floating basin. In addition, it is desirable that the existing sailors be extended on the stretch from the swing pool until they are deep enough for the larger ships of the future.

The soil conditions for the planned port expansion must be mapped through geotechnical feasibility studies on water. consisting of boreholes under the new outer pier, as well as boreholes in the future deepening areas, including the new harbor basin and the floating basin.

In view of the above, the Port of Aarhus and Aarhus Vand A / S therefore jointly offer 2 agreements covering geotechnical feasibility studies for Aarhus ReWater and the planned expansion of the Port of Aarhus (Østhavnen / Oderhavnen).

The purpose of the geotechnical feasibility studies in this tender is to map the soil conditions in the new land areas, the "Main Proposal" and "Alternative 2", for the future location of Aarhus ReWater, and for the planned expansion of the Port of Aarhus (Oderhavnen). The geotechnical feasibility studies consist mainly of geotechnical wells and CPT experiments on water, environmental studies and geotechnical laboratory experiments.

In general, the services offered consist of the following:

Field work:

- Performing geotechnical / survey drilling and CPT probes on water (with a naval drilling rig).

Laboratory work:

- Conducting standard classification tests on recorded soil samples in the geotechnical laboratory,

- Performing environmental engineering analyzes on recorded soil samples in the environmental engineering laboratory.

reporting:

- The field and laboratory work performed is reported in geotechnical data reports,

- The environmental technical fieldwork and analyzes performed are reported in environmental technical reports.

A separate agreement is entered into with the Port of Aarhus for the geotechnical feasibility studies for the expansion of Østhavnen / Oderhavnen and a separate agreement with Aarhus Vand A / S for the geotechnical feasibility studies in connection with the realization of Aarhus ReWater. The two agreements are awarded to the same bidder.
