South Somerset District Council is responsible for providing a wide range of services to the population of South Somerset. Delivery of public realm works and facilities/asset management works: the authority is intending to enter into a framework alliance agreement with up to five contractors, in order to facilitate the delivery of Public Realm betterment works, together with wider facilities/asset management works, across the South Somerset catchment.

South Somerset District Council intends to establish a framework agreement with a number of suitably qualified contractors via an open procedure tender process. The intent is to subsequently utilise the framework agreement for call-off awards to enable the delivery of necessary betterment works across a number of key central high-street and prominent public realm spaces within the South Somerset district area and potentially further afield.

The nature of the public realm works is primarily focused on the improvement of central high-street public and amenity spaces. These works will involve (but may not be exclusively limited to), planting, hard and soft landscaping, utilities and services works.

South Somerset District Council also intends to utilise the framework agreement to facilitate procurement of contractors to undertake facilities/asset management works across their estate.
