The purpose of the tendered framework agreement is to ensure efficient operation, maintenance and development of the knowledge centre for energy savings in buildings. The supplier must, among other things, be responsible for quality assurance of materials and technical support, dissemination. The operation and development must take place in close cooperation with the Danish Energy Agency and the supplier is tasked with ensuring cost-effective operation.

Since the end of 2008, VEB has been a central part of the Danish Energy Agency's information efforts targeted at the professional players in the construction industry. VEB disseminates impartial knowledge about energy savings in buildings of high professional quality through, among other things, a website with more than 10,000 visits a month, newsletters, publications, digital tools, telephone and e-mail guidance, webinars, teaching and teaching materials, as well as extensive networking.
