The contractor must mainly perform the following activities:

A management plan shall be drawn up for each Natura 2000 site. It states what needs to be done to achieve the nature goals for that area and who will take care of it. It also specifies which activities may take place in an area without a permit.

The assignment is divided into 4 lots:

Lot 1 – Westerschelde, Vlakte van de Raan, Oosterschelde and Veerse Meer

Lot 2 – Voordelta, Grevelingenmeer and Haringvliet

Lot 3 – North Sea coastal zone and Wadden Sea

Lot 4 – Hollandsch Diep and Oude Maas
