As part of the overall Galileo 2nd Generation In-Orbit Validation Ground Segment (G2G IOV Ground Segment), the G2G IOV Ground Control Segment has as main purpose the delivery of the relevant Ground Control System capabilities.

As part of the overall Galileo 2nd Generation In-Orbit Validation Ground Segment (G2G IOV Ground Segment), the G2G IOV Ground Control Segment has as main purpose the delivery of the relevant Ground Control System capabilities as an upgrade of the Galileo infrastructure in order to contribute to the following two versions of the system:

1. a first version supporting the LEOP, IOT and operations of up to two new families of Galileo Second Generation Batch #1 (G2SB1) satellites, with the first launch planned in November 2024; and

2. a second version of the system for the provision of legacy services, early versions of G2 system capabilities and overall G2G In-Orbit Validation activities. Options in this procurement will include among other additional TTC station deployment, maintenance activities.
