In this tender, the contracting entity wishes to obtain offers for the provision of advisory services for the procurement of a new ferry to operate between Læsø and Frederikshavn. For current, there are 2 ferries in operation on the route. The new ferry, as a starting point, could lift the current capacity and simultaneously add the necessary additional capacity to Læsø Municipality so that the increased demand for journeys to and from Læsø can be met.

It is expected that the ferry could be commissioned December 2023. However, final timetable must be scheduled with counsel after contracting advice agreement.

The task offered includes ship engineering advice and construction supervision related to the procurement of a newly built ferry with a currently expected capacity of 180-240 passenger cars, 600-750 passengers, a sailing time of approximately 1 hour and 15 minutes for the 14.7 mile long distance and a port time to unloading and loading of the filled ship in 15 minutes.

The services offered include:

— Participation in market dialogue at the visit of yards

— Preparation of material for the tender of Ferry, including specification of requirements, drawing material and BIMCO contract

— Negotiation and assessment of offers

— Drawing approval

— Construction supervision

— Coordination with port engineer and port builder

— Takeover and acceptance negotiations.
