The city of Bad Neuenahr is responsible for the operation and maintenance of wastewater disposal plants (sewage network) in the city area. The city maintains public sewerage with a total length (main canals) of approx. 191 km and house connections of approx. 61 km. About 132 km of main canals were affected by the flood disaster in July 2021. After the flood event in July 2021, all main channels affected by flooding and connecting cables in the public sector are to be traveled and evaluated using a TV examination (condition classification).
