Sanitary installation for renovation work in a school
The school building and the canteen on the property are accessed via the house connection room in the basement. Meanwhile, the house connection is being routed to the public supply of the Berlin water company with a PE line in DN 50. A water supply pressure of approx. 5 bar is available here.
The sanitary objects mentioned under KG 410 — sanitary facilities as well as their risers, non-drinking water systems and canteen are filled from the house connection room by means of a collective supply line in DN 50. With regard to drinking water hygiene, the overall distribution in the basement is realized in row and under ceiling installations up to the last tapping points, here the toilet cores on the upper floors.
There is no provision for central water heating in the main building.
Drinking water hygiene is ensured by automated rinsing process. Furthermore, individual draw-off points at the end of the strand must also be equipped with automated rinsing process. It is important that the flushing interval and the rinsing time are adjustable and the rinsing process can be logged and read out.
Pipe materials, fire penetrations and insulation
Only pipelines, fittings and other system components with DVGW certificate are to be used for drinking water. The main and strand cables are made of stainless steel and the single or floor lines are constructed in multi-layer composite, connection by pressing and fittings made of gunmetal. Appropriate fire bulkheads according to classification are used for wall or ceiling penetrations of qualified components.
Gas systems
The school building is accessed via the house connection room in the basement. The distribution line supplies the new gas condensing boiler in the low-pressure range.

Gas pipelines were installed and designed according to the “Technical Rules for Gas Installation” (TRGI) 2018 and related DVGW worksheets.
Pipe materials, fire penetrations and insulation
Only pipelines, valves and other system components with DVGW certificate must be used for gas installation. The entire pipeline is made of copper pipe, connection by pressing, as well as gunmetal fittings. Wall and ceiling penetrations of qualified components are used corresponding fire bulkheads according to classification. For installations in escape and escape routes, any encapsulation is to be estimated by the expert for preventive fire protection.
