The LDI is the operator of the rlp network, a comprehensive, highly available and high-performance WAN network infrastructure for secure communication between public authorities in Rhineland-Palatinate.

On this basis, the LDI offers a solution for telecommunications. The technical basis for this is VoIP technology. The prerequisite for using the telecommunications services is the connection of the administrations to the rlp network. In principle, it is possible to connect analog or UA devices (Alcatel user interface, system telephone connection).

For this purpose, the LDI currently holds framework agreements on:

- the procurement of central telephony / UC solutions as well

- the procurement of central and decentralized security components (session border controller).

The aforementioned framework agreements are the result of the tender "Framework Agreement Voice Communication 2017" (Lots 2 and 4 there), which the State of Rhineland-Palatinate, represented by the LDI, carried out in 2017 as an open procedure.

The subject of this tender are supplementary support and services for the products and solutions obtained through the two aforementioned framework agreements.
