The “Globe” theater in Coburg is a multi-storey wooden structure in solid wood construction
Conceived, which stands on a basement made of waterproof concrete. The floor slabs are created using a wood-concrete composite construction method. All external walls are made as insulated and clad solid wood construction walls.
In the main building, the sun protection is largely fulfilled by the curtain wall, only the windows for the roof terrace on the 3rd floor need to be shaded.
Outbuildings 1-3:
The outbuildings are designed as a multi-storey timber frame construction. The buildings weigh down on a concrete slab with strip foundations. The floor slabs created as cross laminated timber slabs.
For this purpose, the outbuildings are to be offered all external venetian blind elements to shade the office and workshop rooms

High demands are made on the execution and quality of the sun protection elements due to the public function with high traffic and due to the property of an outstanding cultural building.
