This tender is for the provision of Greenspace Services across the Borough. The tender is split into Lots as follows:

Lot 1 Open Space Mowing

Lot 2 Flail Mowing

Lot 3 Heavy Plant/Transport

Lot 4 Combined lot – Open space mowing, flail mowing and heavy plant & transport

Lot 5 Churchyard Mowing – Sawley

Lot 6 Herbicide application

Lot 7 Sports pitches renovation

Contractors may bid for individual or combination of Lots above. However, each lot will be evaluated separately and success in one lot does not guarantee success in another.

Lot 1 includes the provision of Open space mowing across the Borough.

Estimated volumes are as follows:

Volume: 820,000 Sq, M

Annual cuts: 11 to 15

Lot 2 includes the provision of flail mowing including:

Side flail mowing - Est. 200,000 Linear Km, 2 cuts per annum

Visibility splays - Est. 40,100 Sq M, 3 to 5 cuts per annum

Flail hedge cutting - Est. 3,300 Linear Km, 2 cuts per annum

Rear flail mowing - Est. 368,200 Sq M, 1 to 2 cuts per annum

Lot 3 includes the provision of heavy plant with operator.

It is estimated that on an annual basis, the Contractor will be required to provide approximately, 300 hours of work.

Lot 4 is for delivery of Lots 1, 2, and 3. The specification is as per the individual lot specifications detailed above.

Lot 5 includes specialist mowing at All Saints Church, Tamworth Rd, Sawley, NG10 3AT.

The site needs mowing on a monthly basis (7 x per season)

Lot 6 includes the provision of herbicide application, to include footpaths, pavements and pedestrianised areas across the Borough

Estimated volumes are detailed below:

Herbicide application - Est. 550 Linear Km

Annual applications - 2 to 3

Lot 7 includes the annual renovation of the Council’s sports pitches.

This will include approximately 25 football pitches and 4 rugby pitches.
