The construction measures put out to tender here are taking place as part of the implementation of the Bavarian State Garden Show Furth im Wald 2025 construction project. With this implementation, the city of Furth im Wald is seizing the opportunity to strengthen important green and recreational structures in the city and to make everyday life in the city more attractive. The planning area of the horticultural show comprises the two sub-areas north and south. The services described here are only to be carried out in the northern sub-area.
In the northern area, the design is based on the existing character of the city center. The existing Postgartenweg is to be developed into a spacious promenade on the waterfront. The area between Kalter Pastritz and Postgartenweg, which has been freed up by the demolition of the former Höfer-Bräu site, will be transformed into an inner-city park with gardens and a playground.
With its history of use for mills, engines and the feeding of fish ponds, the Kalte Pastritz is an important component of the urban fabric. As part of the planning for the State Garden Show, it will be designed to be closer to nature and thus developed in an ecological and more diverse way.
