The RES West-Brabant attaches great importance to the participation of residents in the sustainable energy projects that must be realized.

To support local initiatives, the FRES Foundation is being established, as a follow-up to the foundations Zonnebank Breda and Support ONS2050. The objective of FRES is to support local initiatives in the professional development of projects by using knowledge, strength and capital. An important tool in this respect is the fund in which the municipalities from West Brabant and the aforementioned foundations contribute resources.

FRES consists of a foundation board with a supervisory board. For the actual operation, a project leader is sought, who will be responsible for finding, driving, guiding and financing the local initiatives. The project leader prepares and advises the board on project proposals. The project leader works under the responsibility of the board.
