The client plans to convert the old Shell drum bottling line into a multifunctional event hall ("Kulturraffinerie K714"). The historic building is to retain its industrial charm, while state-of-the-art stage technology and a restaurant with a view of the Rhine move in. In this context, the client awards the trade VE 441 - luminaires.
The listed former barrel bottling hall on the Rhine promenade will be converted and expanded into an event hall for around 3,800 visitors. The existing building extends approx. 126 m in north-south direction and approx. 63 m in east-west direction. In the course of the construction project, extensions will be erected which will extend the north-south dimensions to almost 142 m and the east-west dimensions to approx. 106 m.
In the centre of the former barrel bottling hall, an approximately 21 m high new cube with two inner, surrounding galleries forms the main event hall with stage and orchestra pit. Ancillary areas such as a logistics area for the backstage including containment of the delivery are supplemented by administration, restaurant, as well as group and practice rooms.
The total GFA after conversion and expansion amounts to approx. 14,400 m², the total BRI amounts to approx. 85,155 m³.
In the VE 441 trade, LED luminaires are to be supplied indoors and outdoors. The assembly is carried out by the 400 TGA trade.
In addition, façade lighting is to be carried out, for this purpose light blocks are inserted into the recess in the clinker façade.

The total number of luminaire systems mentioned above is approx. 8000 pieces.
The majority of the luminaires are to be designed in Tuneable-White (e.g. 2700K - 4000K) with DALI or DMX ballasts.
