The Police is seeking temporary Communications personnel for a category that will be used for five years, starting from 21.3.2020, with an option to extend.
Dynamic purchasing system category communication

The Police hires temporary staff through the Police Hiring Desk and aims to appeal to a diversity of providers, regardless of the organizational form. The Police Hiring Desk is published as a dynamic purchasing system under the 2012 Procurement Act. As of 18.4.2016, the Public Procurement Directive (2014/24) will apply to this and the Hiring Desk will fall under the regime of that Directive.

This category concerns the temporary hiring of Communications personnel. To qualify for future contracts, suppliers can submit a Request for Authorization for this category. This is possible on the website www.inhuurdeskpolitie.nl

"Communication connects the Police to society, increases citizen involvement and directly contributes to increasing (subjective) security and detecting crimes."

The communication column supports the organization from three departments: the communication directorate, the communication service of the Police Services Center (PDC) and the communication departments within the units.

The Communications Department consists of the Media and Publicity and Advice and Editing departments.

Internally she focuses on positioning, identity and the Police brand. To this end, the management supports processes in the areas of desired culture, behavior and leadership. Within the board, the national spokespersons provide contacts with media on national subjects and the management of the Police. In addition, the management focuses on the reputation of the police, relationships with stakeholders, the primary process and the cooperation between police and citizens. Finally, the communication directorate has activities that have a national impact.

The PDC Communication Service has three departments: Account and Advice, Innovation and Research and Korpsmedia. The Communication Service provides communication advice on national subjects and takes care of the production of the communication means that result from it. It gathers and discloses best practices for the unit's communications departments. The communication service also functions as a communication department for the operational services of the Police Services Center. The service initiates innovation and professional development and facilitates training and coaching for all communication professionals within the Police. She also provides the national editorial function for the intranet, police.nl, the personnel magazine, criminal communications and the social media accounts of the Police.

The communication departments in the units support their unit leadership and are responsible for the communication tasks that take place close to the operation. For example, the units are responsible for the spokesperson for local incidents and they advise the district teams on communication about local safety issues. They work for this within the frameworks and policies set by the management. The communication departments in the units have two teams: Media and Publicity and Advice and Editorial. For the communication category, the Police is regularly looking for professionals, such as:

- junior communication consultants,

- medior communication advisors,

- senior communication consultants,

- copywriters,

- editors,

- Spokespersons.

In 2018 and 2019, an average of twenty inquiries were issued per year for the communication category. The Police intends to use the category for a term of five years, starting from 21.3.2020, with an option to extend it by two times twelve months.
