LHL is looking to reduce the number of audits in the year and to undertake in depth quality system audits, which identify not only areas of weakness and failures of control, but also to recommend bespoke improvements in control that address the reasons for those weaknesses and areas for improvement. This will include working with management to understand the reasons that control failures have occurred and designing effective controls that also meet the needs of the service and the organisation.
