It is requested to convert searchable text into digital search instruments, which are natively digital (pdf text, .doc, .docx, .odt) or from digitization of a typed original, partially manuscript or, for approximately 10 %, manuscript (pdf image and / or jpg).
The incumbent will also have to encode in xml ead 7 000 search instruments corresponding to 70 000 pages.
The research instruments thus encoded are intended to be published on the website of the Historical Defense Service, or in some cases on the memory site of the men of the Directorate of Heritage, Memory and Archives, and once published in be harvested by national and community archival and heritage portals (eg France archives, Europeana, European archival portal, etc).
It is also hoped to eventually link these archival resources to other datasets, from a semantic web perspective that will improve the visibility of archives. Encoding is the first step in the semanticization of archival data of the Historical Defense Service.
