The task includes a system delivery for sludge drying in connection with the expansion of existing HCR South.
In connection with the expansion of Hillerød Central Wastewater Treatment Plant (HCR Syd), Hillerød Wastewater A/S wants to reduce the amount of wastewater sludge. This is done by establishing drying of the dewatering sludge before it is removed. The drying will be established in the current container room.
The sludge after final drainage is expected to have a dry matter content of 20-25% TS. In 2021, sludge production was 1050 tonnes TS/year, corresponding to a sludge volume of 4,200 – 5,250 tonnes of sludge/year. However, the volume is increasing due to an increased plant load and is expected to be up to 1500 tonnes TS/year in 2025, corresponding to a sludge volume of 6,000 – 7,500 tonnes of sludge per year.
