The KOGEKA school community was established in 1999 and has six locations in Geel and Kasterlee. All information about the current operation can be found on the website www.kogeka.be

The contract concerns bus transport for excursions of students of the KOGEKA schools for educational purposes and related activities for a minimum period of one year and tacitly renewable for the following three years.

The assignment includes short trips, day trips and multi-day bus trips with a driver.

The summary inventory in Annex C is intended as a guide and serves to have a minimum comparison between the submitted offers. The listed trips and student numbers are examples of trips from the past years, but do not imply any commitment to the future.

Student numbers on 1.2.2020: 1 725 students in total.

Sint Jozef Geel provides education for young people of the second and third stage of technical and vocational education in sciences and technology, agro and biotechnology and food and catering. In this school there is also a Center for part-time education and a reception class for non-Dutch speaking newcomers.

In recent years, Sint Jozef Geel represented about half of all KOGEKA bus trips.

This concerned several multi-day trips to the coast, Friesland, Italy, Germany, Alsace, [...] and numerous one-day trips to De Efteling, VRT Brussels, Utrecht, [...].

Sint Maria Geel brings TSO and BSO education in the second and third degree within the study areas of Trade and Personal Care.

As an indication: in the 2018-2019 school year, buses were used for the Barcelona trip for a week before the Easter holiday and about twenty one-day bus trips were made to various locations such as Beringen-Mijn, Remouchamps, Breendonk-Saeftinghe, [...] varying number of persons.

Saint Dimpna Yellow. College is the ASO school of KOGEKA in Geel. From the second degree you can follow both classical and modern directions.

Last school year, this school used a bus company for, among other things, airport transport of pupils in the context of European exchange projects, for transport in the context of meeting and reflection days and for all kinds of day trips such as to the port of Antwerp, Condroz, Aachen, Leuven, [...].

Sint Aloysius Geel is the first-degree school of KOGEKA in Geel where young people from twelve to fourteen years old start in secondary education.

As an indication: during the 2018-2019 school year, about 15 day trips were made with the students of Sint Aloysius Geel via bus transport to various locations such as Xanten, Brussels, the port of Antwerp, [...].

The umbrella services of KOGEKA vzw, the so-called “General Services”, consisting of a personnel service, pedagogical service, technical service, prevention service, financial service, purchasing service and ICT service with a total of 26 employees, can make occasional use of a journey by bus.

Sancta Maria Kasterlee or SMIK for short, is a small, rural six-year school with a wide range of secondary education.

During the 2018-2019 school year, bus transport was used for 2 trips abroad to Paris and Barcelona in April and for two-day trips to Ostend and Liège. Ten more day trips were made by bus to Xanten, Bokrijk, Archeon, [...].

Number of pupils on 1.2.2020: 607 pupils in total (227 pupils in kindergarten and 380 pupils in primary school).

The main school offers nursery and primary education. There are also two small-scale neighborhood schools for nursery education.

In the past school year, the primary and kindergarten used bus transport for ten day trips to, for example, fairytale forest in Westerlo, Eindhoven, Pretland in Hasselt, [...].
