Description:
Provision of an Ultra-Precision 5-Axis Free Form Machining System

The Centre of Micro/Nano Manufacturing Technology (MNMT-Dublin) was established at University College Dublin in 2016. MNMT-Dublin is specializing in design and manufacturing of medical devices, bio-implants, photonic systems, molding and tooling, as well as high precision manufacturing and metrology. MNMT-Dublin also carries out the systematic study on Atomic and Close-to-atomic Scale Manufacturing (ACSM) and has made significant progress in the field. While the MNMT-Dublin has been focusing on fundamental studies and process investigations, it has also developed extensive applications in various industrial sectors. The Centre wishes to purchase an Ultra-Precision 5-Axis Freeform Machining System. The system must be capable of producing complex freeform geometries with 3 linear and 2 rotary axes surfaces, as well as other high precision mechanical components, by way of diamond turning, micro milling or grinding.
