In the course of the present award procedure, the North Rhine-Westphalia State Agency for Forests and Timber intends to conclude a framework agreement with one or two providers on the implementation of motor-manual timber harvesting and timber transport in the Ittenbach and Rodder forestry districts of the Rhein-Sieg-Erft Regional Forestry Office.
Detailed information on the provision of services can be found in the individual service descriptions
MMHE and timber transport at FBB IttenbachTimber harvesting is the removal and processing of (usually standing) trees from the forest in order to convert them into a sale or
usable state. The timber harvest includes all work on the standing and/or lying tree in the forest for the extraction of raw wood. As a rule, these consist of the following sub-steps: precipitation, delimbing, sorting, division and cutting into assortments and measurement.
Timber transport or removal refers to the transport and piling of processed wood from the existing building to a truck-accessible path from which it is transported. The standard procedure according to these terms of reference is the return
by means of a forwarder. Particularly in the case of partially mechanized processes, it may be necessary to pre-rope the timber into the crane zone, for example by rope tugs. The wood must be moved completely and rumbled loosely or separately according to the work order.
The quantities of wood in the service description are differentiated according to guarantee and option quantity. The contractor (contractor) is entitled to fulfilment of the guaranteed quantity.
The option quantity is intended for unplanned cases (calamities, changes in the timber market, etc.). If necessary, it can be ordered in addition to the guaranteed quantity.
For further details, please refer in particular to the service descriptions, the framework agreement / general
Award document as well as the GTC Forst NRW.
