The planned measures include renovation of the surfaces, the renewal of the ventilation and swimming pool technology in the entire building and energy efficiency in compliance with current standards. Furthermore, the fire protection and static requirements, which have increased greatly in the meantime, must be complied with. This results in the general renovation of the building including the facade and the roof, the technology is brought to the required level and the outdoor area is transformed and adapted to the state of the newly designed schoolyard.

The building complex of Balthasar-Neumann-Mittelschule, which has been in use since about 1971, and also houses the indoor pool, is located in the northeast of Werneck at Bühlweg 3.

On the property are located north adjacent to the swimming pool a gym, the 2014-2015 refurbished middle school, the caretaker's house and a combined heat and power plant, which was built in 1997 in the basement of the school building. In the southeast, a subsequently built extension connects to the swimming pool. The swimming and sports hall and the school form a campus-like complex of buildings that adjoin the outdoor areas on several levels. Due to the position of the buildings to each other, there are different uses. Thus, the swimming and sports hall is used in addition to the students by local clubs and individuals.

Within the scope of this invitation to tender the HOAI LPH 3-9 will be commissioned. Start of planning is immediately after commissioning. Construction must start in early 2020.

The basis of the contract shall be the contract model of the client enclosed with the invitation to the negotiated procedure.

The realization of the project is based on a limited budget and financing. The profitability of the entire project must be given. This may limit the scope of the services. Only if the economic conditions are secured and the client considers the profitability of the project realization given, the client will award further services.
