Gas Compressor Package (GCP).

WWU have an innovation project to install a gas compressor adjacent to our pressure reduction site in Shepton Mallet. The increased injection of green gas from biogas producers in the Somerset locale has led to the need to boost gas from the 2 bar(g) MP network into the more expansive and higher pressure 35 bar(g) local transmission network, especially during times of low gas utilisation. The GCP shall be supplied in the form of a single or a number of fully pre-assembled skid units (PAUs), commensurate with transportation/lifting restrictions, each of which shall be fully system tested in the workshop prior to their delivery to site. Each PAU shall include all associated pipework, insulation, instrumentation and controls, cabling, ladders and walkways, etc. terminating at defined and mutually agreed positions at the edge of the skid. All terminations for piping, instruments and electrical (including utilities) shall be at low level approx. 1.0 m from grade.
