The University is implementing a new contract, for a single provider to deliver our Services Recycling and Waste Management.
The University generates various forms of waste that require collection, removal and disposal. The University currently has 3 waste categories — waste that cannot be recycled, recyclable/reusable waste and hazardous/clinical waste.
The provider will be expected to deliver:
— Enable the University to maximise recycling and recovery and to ensure 0 waste is disposed directly to landfill.
— The absolute minimum terminates in landfill after sorting and processing, in accordance with the University's environmental policy and waste management strategy.
The Contract is due to start from 1.10.2017 - 30.9.2022, with the option to extend on an annual basis for an additional 2 yeas e.g. 5 + 1 + 1.
