The Federal Ministry for Economic Affairs and Energy intends to award a service contract for the continuation of the operation of the office of the National Designated Entity (NDE). The NDE serves as a central point of contact for all inquiries from the Climate Technology Centre and Network (CTCN) or other national contact points for German climate-relevant technologies, federal government programs, services or possible research cooperation in connection with the technology mechanism.

The NDE takes on the following tasks in particular:

- networking of technology mechanism and international climate policy,

- Evaluation of Technology Needs Assessments (TNAs) and Nationally Determined Contributions (NDCs),

- supporting the client in the fulfillment of tasks in the UNFCCC technology mechanism,

- organization of climate technology workshops,

- coordination of the European Union's national contact points,

- editorial maintenance of a portal (website) about climate-relevant technologies in Germany.

The basic term is 36 months (01.01.2022-31.12.2024). The contract includes a two-time renewal option for a further 12 months at a time.
