Energieversorgung Schwerin GmbH und Co. Generation KG is a 100% subsidiary of Stadtwerke Schwerin GmbH and has been operating a gas and steam turbine thermal power station at each of the Schwerin Süd and Schwerin Lankow locations since 1994.

The cogeneration plants put into operation in 1994 are to be modernized within the framework of the currently valid KWKG (in the version of 2017) - due to the advanced age of system parts and the energy requirements.

The modernization measures for the CHP plant in Schwerin Lankow essentially include the following measures:

- the replacement of the gas turbine (approx. 12 MWel);

- the dismantling of the plant components required for steam generation and use;

- the conversion of the waste heat boiler into a hot water boiler without additional firing;

- the renewal of power plant control technology/electrical engineering;

- Modernisation of further peripheral plant components.

The scope of services of the contractor is the complete material procurement, production, delivery, assembly, quality assurance, commissioning and documentation of the pipelines and secondary steel construction as well as the associated workshop planning. The scope of services includes all components required for the technical solution of the piping system.

The scope of delivery essentially comprises the following components:

- supply and installation of pipelines, components and fittings,

- gas connection to gas turbine,

- connection to waste heat boiler,

- Replacement of safety valve, incl. adjustment of flanges and flange connections,

- Delivery / installation of pipe brackets,

- Delivery / assembly of bracket steel construction as well as any necessary stage constructions,

- Delivery / installation of insulation and trace heating,

- connection to the existing pipelines,

- involvement and commissioning of a technical expert in accordance with the Pressure Equipment Directive for systems subject to testing,

- delivery and installation of temporary arrangements for cleaning measures,

- Coordination and execution of the print samples (presence of AG / planner required),

- Obligation to cooperate during commissioning (IBS) and trial operation,

- obligation to cooperate in the coordination of interfaces to the other lots, and

- Creation of documentation according to VGB-S 831 (transfer via ShareFile, access is provided by the Client).

Essentially, the following systems will be rebuilt:

- natural gas,

- heating water,

- Hilfsdampf,

- drainage,

- Deionate, and

- Steuerluft.
